What common foods provide the best nutrition ?

What common foods provide ALL of the nutrition, vitamins, and minerals WITHOUT having to take supplemints ?

Here’s a list of superfoods: Protein: Soy, beans, tuna, salmon, walnuts, almonds, plain low-fat yogurt, turkey. Fruits & Veggies: Spinach and leafy greens, broccoli, caulifower, cabbage, carrots, berries, kiwi, bell peppers, mango, squash, tomato, apples. Carbs: Oatmeal, multi-grain hot cereal, unrefined whole grain bread. Fats: Avocado, canola, olive, or flax seed oil, walnuts, almonds. Other: Garlic, onion, chives, green or black tea. Try to eat a variety of these foods every day, but of course, check with your doctor and ask what’s best for you.

    – Fresh fruits (apples and berries are best)
    – Vegetables (green veggies and carrots top the list)
    – Beans/Legumes
    – Whole grain breads/cereals/pasta
    – Lowfat dairy products
    – Eggs
    – Nuts, any kind (almonds are best)

    – Lean cuts of beef and pork

    When I am trying to eat at my healthiest, which is always, this is what I eat:

    bell peppers ( the various colors BUT the red bell peppers are highest in vitamin C. They all are higher in C than oranges ). Avocadoes, a fruit, is natures multi vitamin. A also eat lots of greens, I prefer mine to be Southern cooked> these greens are collard,mustard, turnip, kale, chard. Strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, raspberries,cantalope. These are my favorite fruits and vegetables but I also include broccoli, spinach,cauliflower,cabbage. I also use V8 juice.

    I also eat meat, poultry, seafood,pork etc. I feel that protein is the mortor that is needed to bind everything together and it is very important to include in a well rounded healthy diet. All of these foods are part of a healthy low carb lifestyle. People wiill tell you that people on Atkins or other low carb diets don’t eat vegetables. Hey, 95% of the worlds veggies are low carb. I increased my vegetable intake when I became a low carber.
