The Importance of Vitamin C in Bodybuilding Nutrition

C what I mean

By Lee Milligan Jr

There once was a Pirate Ship called the Black Canon, notorious for being the first to strike at night. On one of such many of her voyages, the first mate looks out and can see the strorm which awaits him ahead. Suffering from a slight chill and bleeding gums with most of the crew looking much the same. A sturdy grip on the wheel, he holds his course due West to Cape Renegade or Pirates getaway as they say. With the wind at his back and making good speed, the crew of weathered scalywags gear up for the storm knowing that paradise awaits on the other side. He sets her sail into the wind to make haist way towards her destination. The crew is a bit sluggish, with most of the supply of fruits having been devoured or spoiled, they press on towards the mark with which at its end a cache of presious gems a Man needs to fill his void. The storm with which they most feared has come upon them with much force. Captain Jack Lemont gave signal to all hands on deck to battle this uncontrolable fury which is in their mists. The crew stuggles to batton down the hatches and secure all lines in hopes to preserve the Black Canon through the journey ahead. Holding the wheel straight the Black Canon presses onward though the strorm. The lookout watchman spots light on the other side. Yelling at the top of his lungs, ” Land Ho ” The first mate holds his course and docks portside at Pirates Getaway.

Alot of wisdom can be learned from times past. Many sailors and Pirates in history gave reports of a deficiency disease called Scurvy. This disease is caused by a lack of Vitamin C. Vitamin C contributes significantly to proper bodybuilding and strength trainers in general. At the top of the list is the fact that Vitamin C help the body in building our steroidal hormones through proper cholesterol synthesis. Next up is the fact that Vitamin C is required to convert cholesterol to bile acids which helps in the proper utilization of fats. Vitamin C is an important antioxidant which helps to prevent oxidation of the Vitamins B-Complex, A, & E. Vitamin C helps in wound healing of Sarcomere damage from Microtrauma induced weight training. So you see that Vitamin C is a must to help contribute to bodybuilding and strength training success.
